These days, there is a lot of news in the media about violations of human rights. There is news being spread that we can never accept in general. There are two types of behavior related to violations of human rights-

(A) Physical: To physically injure, injure or kill another person.

(B) Verbal: slandering, insulting, cursing, intentionally hurting the other person, sharply speaking about the character of the person in aggressive language, etc.

Ever wondered what are the psychological reasons for this?

 As human rights abuses continue to escalate, so do physical, psychological, and psychosocial factors.

The reasons for violations of human rights are discussed in detail:

• Biological or psychological factors include abnormalities of the amygdala of the human brain. According to the research, there is a mystery about the abnormality of human rights violators.

Genetic influences.

• Psychological factors include the experience of physical or mental abuse during childhood.

Inconsistency in expressing proper emotions.

• Various studies have found that individuals learn most of their behavior through observation. Later, when he grows up and encounters any problem, he finds the means of violence as an easy solution to the problem.

There are reports of human rights violations, TV, aggressive video games, mobile phones, newspapers, magazines, computer pictures, big headlines, all kinds of violent activities of children, teenagers and adults. This type of film news or movie-drama helps to arouse violent instinct in many.

• Often children and adolescents unknowingly practice these acts of violence to have fun, with dire consequences.

• The child often shows restlessness during his childhood by not being able to control himself to meet his needs and he throws various things, vandalizes or hurts someone around him, big or small. 

As a result of his hurt or violent behavior, he easily gets the things he needs. Then he learns such violent behavior as a means to meet his own needs, so that as the child grows up, the practice of violence as a means of meeting his needs increases. 

In this case the parent and the family environment around the child play a role.

• In order to protect themselves from feeling weak and helpless, many people resort to this violent behavior so that the human rights of others are violated.

• Demonstrating violent behavior by planning and rescuing party interests in return is a kind of human rights violating psychological game.

• There is a trend of children of different ages playing different types of video games through mobile and electronic devices. These games are mostly violent, aggressive and vindictive. These are playing a significant role in creating impatience, instability, aggressive attitude and behavior.

 • In many cases, behaving violently or constantly thinking about the same thing, these are identified as a kind of cognitive distortion as the cause of mental problems.

• The findings from the study show that depression, anxiety, and excessive stress are largely responsible for violent behavior. The reason is that the person suffering from these problems gets a little angry and indulges in extra aggressive behavior. In addition, not only the mentally ill, but also the general population, 50% of people are at risk of violent behavior.

 • An Indian study (2019) found that adolescents have a higher rate of violent behavior. The study found that 18.7% of violence occurs during adolescence. 

• In this case, boys are ahead of girls. It has been found that 18 to 20 percent of boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 20 are violent and violate the human rights of others.

 • According to the theory of personality formation, if a person behaves to suit his needs while adapting to his family or environment from an early age, it often involves violent behaviors and is perpetrated by another person, another profession or another person Encouraged by or by any other group, but it helps the individual to move towards extreme violations of human rights.
